Fruitastic's mission has always been to revolutionize the fruit and veg industry and bring back TRUE FARM FRESH to your door.

We started Fruitastic 20 years ago out of sheer frustration. The frustration of buying fresh produce that just wasn't fresh. We had done our research and found The Vic Market, South Melbourne Market, and other farmers markets were simply privately owned fruit stalls, all buying produce from the then, "Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Market in Footscray," which is now "The Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Market in Epping." This was and is the State Market for all fresh produce. We also found out all Supermarkets were also buying there produce from the same market. 

So why the difference in freshness? Why the difference in quality? Why the difference in price. 

It works out, all these stores and supermarkets that have a physical presence need to have enough stock on the shelves, in order to appeal to customers, and more supplies in their coolrooms, in order to replenish shelves. Some would buy premium quality, others would be supplying a mix of premium and seconds, and others would also buy and supply imported produce. This is why the price varies wherever you go and freshness depends on how busy the store is and the turnover of produce.

So, it dawned on us. We needed to start Fruitastic to ensure we were feeding our kids and family with the freshest and best produce available, and we also turned it into a business that now supplies millions of pieces of the absolute best, freshest and most affordable Premium Grade, locally grown, Australian grown products around. We took out the storage of produce by offering next day delivery direct from the farm and Melbourne Fruit and Veg Wholesale Market and not having a shop front which eliminates stock sitting around for hours, days, even weeks in some cases. To add to the benefits, not one single other person ever touches our/your produce apart from our specialist packers. 

We are here for people that aren't afraid to get dirty in the kitchen. For the home chef that wants to ensure he or she and the family, all enjoy the benefits of consuming fresh produce that looks and tastes the way it should when it's super super fresh.
